PSA: The Heat is On! World Spinning® Experience (WSX) is just three months out. And we have a hunch that you’re probably getting super excited for the whole experience. Full disclosure: We are too!

And while WSX will be the Spinning® event of the year, no doubt, there’s also the fact that it all takes place in Miami – the Magic City. There is so much to see and do in Miami…have you thought about how you will spend your off-bike time?

Well, we have some guidance to help you get ahead with your plans. From meals with a stellar view to superior shopping, to markets with live music to fabulous parks and beaches…Miami has something extra-special for you. Read on!

Shopping

Collins Avenue, which runs parallel to the beach, is the main shopping street. You can walk the main drag in about 1-2 hours (uh hmm…figure in your shopping and eating time accordingly) or plan something specific to do. Food

The Magic City is loaded with amazing restaurants – many with uber ambiance too! Maybe you’re after a panoramic place to take in views of the city while you dine. Bayfront Park and Marketplace

Right next to the InterContinental Hotel where WSX is held is Bayfront Park and Bayside Marketplace– super convenient for dining and shopping.

Bayfront Park is where WSX attendees often take a morning walk with a view of the bay, picnic on the lawn or catch a game of frisbee with WSX friends (new and old).

Bayside Marketplace is Miami in a nutshell. You’ll dive into the heart of the city by enjoying Latin food, fresh seafood and tropical cocktails…local artists and salsa beats. Don’t delay on getting to Marina Stage for daily live music.

The WSX venue is in Biscayne Bay, and here you can boat, canoe, kayak, fish, or take a guided eco-adventure…the list is endless in the bay.

And of course, the legendary South Beach is a must during your WSX trip. People-watching at South Beach is an event in and of itself, and when you turn your gaze eastward it’s all turquoise water, colorful lounge chairs, sandy shores, and surfers on the waves.

Extracurricular Activities

If you want to hang with the stars in Miami, you might consider Madonna’s Celebration Tour on Saturday or Sunday night…MADONNA. Just saying.
