What inspired you to become a Certified Spinning® Instructor and then a Master Instructor?
I was in the fitness industry for a while and I just wanted to be certified in something else to make myself more marketable. In 1999 I volunteered for the first WSSC in LA and I was inspired by all the presenters at the time.
What do you love about teaching Spinning® classes?
The best part is that it is a workout that anyone can do and it is injury free.
What makes Spinning® such a great workout?
It makes it a great workout because everyone can manage their own intensity.
What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about becoming a Certified Spinning® Instructor?
Once you go through the certification remember to keep the integrity of the program because so many lose it.
Do you have a hero in the Spinning® community, someone who deserves recognition for their leadership?
I have always respected and used Gary Kobat as a mentor for many years.
Is there anything about you that would surprise people?
Yes, that my name is Bernie and most people expect a guy.
