Eligibility: To be eligible to take the STAR 3 exam, you must hold STAR 2 status and at least 40 CECs. Since the content of the exam
is based on the Spinning program, you'll be better prepared to take the exam if you earned your STAR points from Spinning continuing education workshops and home studies rather than petitioned courses.
Taking the Exam: The STAR 3 Exam consists of 60 multiple-choice and true/false items that will test your knowledge of heart rate training, periodization, programming, Energy Zones™ and exercise physiology. The exam is based on content from the Spinning Instructor Manual, the Spintensity™ workshop and the Periodization home study. It's an open-book, untimed exam.
