Why did you start taking Spinning® classes?
I started taking Spinning® classes in Venezuela, my home, there my mother began to practice it, and one day she invited me to go with her.
What inspired you to become a Certified Spinning® Instructor and then a Master Instructor?
My passion for sports and professional relationships, and of course a new fitness activity. As Master Instructor, motivation to inspire others to help people improve their quality of life.
What do you love about teaching Spinning® classes?
The ability to train very different people at the same time, for me is a real opportunity, and I really think I bring a little bit to those people involved in my classes. I always hope that classes will help them in their lives.
What are your top three favorite songs to play during your Spinning® classes and why?
- Nacho Sotomayor, "Street of Philadelphia" Remix feat. Alana Sinkey. It's a perfect flat road and remember a great movie and good feelings
- "Watermät Bullit" (Original Mix). The perfect mountain, is progressive, not aggressive, and very inspiring for me.
- "The Storm" by Yanni. Perfect for bowling with your own rhythm, the rhythm of your legs and start quiet, and finish with energy as a Spinning class.
What makes Spinning® such a great workout?
The ability to customize the workout of your students, who are not separated. The key for me is that all kinds of people can train simultaneously, and of course, the possibility gives you absolute control all of your training.
Share a memory from your experience as a teacher/coach/presenter that embodies the value of being a Certified Spinning® Instructor or Spinning® Master Instructor.
There are many, I remember a student of mine who brought me every year on my birthday a few great gifts, once I received a blender for my house, great!
What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about becoming a Certified Spinning® Instructor?
To study and learn, Spinning gives you everything you need to offer good lessons and good practice for your students, you just have to study.
What’s one of your favorite motivational quotes?
Although your effort is low, or too high, the important thing is that you feel good with your effort, and if you do not feel well, remember that in Spinning you can change to help you feel better.
Do you have a hero in the Spinning® community, someone who deserves recognition for their leadership?
Cesar Valera was the Master to certify me as STAR 1, and Robbie Ambrosini, who taught me more about the Spinning program.
